The Juno ST1 is a National Supersports chassis that will be entered in the appropriate championship in the UK, driven by Lee Linford. He tested the car at Silverstone on December 8. The design work is by Ewen Baldry, a former Williams F1 design engineer, and Ben Lang – a TVR Tuscan Speed 6 man.
Ewen explains that “we had a number of enquiries (at the Autosport Show) regarding the possibility of producing an SR2 or LMP675 chassis. We’re looking into them.”
The last new chassis to enter the SRWC / FIA SCC was the LM3000 last year – this one can’t be expected to stir the imagination like a Bentley or a Panoz LMP07, but any new car would make a welcome and interesting addition to the familiar line-up in the SR2 class of the FIA SCC.
