Saleen/Allen Speedlab appear have ruled out a second ALMS appearance at Las Vegas, although this was part of the originally announced programme. Laguna Seca turned into a test session, which appeared to provide confirmation that the car has enormous potential. Perhaps they don't want to give away too much too soon.
Attention is likely to focus on Daytona testing, prior to the 24 hour event in early February, then the full ALMS with two cars - plus Le Mans of course.
Four drivers will be a requirement for the bulk of the season, and the fourth is likely to be a European. His identity may become known shortly. ALMS tracks and high downforce experience are high priorities.
First stop for the race car should be Motorsports Day at the Motor Show in the UK - 26 October. |
