The photograph shows the old signalling area just after Mulsanne Corner, plus the Clubhouse of the ACO golf course.
Michel Cosson, the President of the ACO, explained in ‘Le Maine Libre’ last week that the club are aiming to invest in a hotel , the restoration of the club house and a VIP club inside Mulsanne Corner.
The Clubhouse building was apparently built in 1961, and was used by the signallers as a rest area during the race.
It’s a little unclear, but apparently a contest or competition will be held during race week this year, to help raise funds for these developments.
Clarification: a golfing competition will take place this year and it will last for...24 hours. Six players per team, designed to keep competitors and media occupied.
