The Koenigsegg CC was officially launched at the 2000 Paris Mondial de L'Automobile. The design is by Christian von Koenigsegg, who seems to have had the same vision as Gordon Murray and Ron Dennis - creating the perfect sportscar.
It is a two seater, mid-engined coupé with an F1-derived, supercharged eight cylinder engine and a six speed sequential gearbox. The power unit generates 650 bhp from its 240 kg, thanks to the expected 4 valves per cylinder, DOHC, Intercooler and supercharger.
The body and chassis are manufactured from carbon fibre. The car features KACS (Koenigsegg Advanced Control System), which allows the driver to adjust the roadholding, suspension, aerodynamic and braking components according to his own preferences.
McLaren performance (240 mph top speed) at half the price? A potential ISC entry?
