Six wins out of eight in 2000, and now they’ve got their Rolex line-up all sorted, and will name their Grand Am drivers for the balance of the season after the 24 hour classic.
Driving the #21 Gemstar Communications Lola B2K / 40 next month will be Andy Lally, Paul Macey, Martin Henderson and Peter Seldon. Driving the #22 Budweiser Lola will be Tony Dudek, Mike Durand, Jeff Clinton, and Michael Culver. Nigel Greensall is no longer part of the squad.
Late change: Andrew Davis replaces Michael Culver. "We tested Andrew during the Test Days and he was the third quickest after only a handful of laps," explains Michael Johnson. "Andrew was one of our first choices, but we were unable to raise the sufficient sponsorship until today. Michael Culver had another offer driving on a Porsche team so it worked out for everyone."
Archangel Motorsport Services, Inc. is the creation of former USF2000 driver (and MTV’s “The Real World, IV” cast member) Mike Johnson. Mike believes that, “Last year we had the two best drivers, the best reliability, and some luck when we needed it. This year, there are three times the cars, and three times the competition. Once again we have the crew and the drivers to succeed, and we should have strong finishes as long as we don’t beat ourselves.”
SRPll is the success story of the Grand Am so far. Archangel are the success story of SRPll.
