The first Mklll C was in Europe last week to go through its crash test procedure, which will allow it to be run in ALMS events – and Le Mans. Rob Dyson was hinting last week that he may enter the car at Le Mans this year, despite the unavailability of James Weaver, Andy Wallace and Butch Leitzinger. He’s expecting the car to be a very good one, but is it a Le Mans car in current form, or still a chassis for tighter, bumpier tracks?
The car that led Daytona for so long is pictured during the stop to fix a power steering leak during the night. Full story from Andy Wallace in due course.
