This impression of the new Dome LMP900 Prototype was prepared before it became apparent that single roll hoops would be allowed at Le Mans next year. It should run for the first time in January.
No other details at the moment, but there are a number of teams looking at it for next season, and at least one entry from Japan seems likely for the 24 Hours.
More details:
The "Dome S101" is currently using the Judd GV4, but other engines can be accommodated.
All V8 and V10 options can be fitted, plus turbocharged engines.
Low and high downforce bodywork will be available.
The complete car will weigh 850 kg, allowing placement of 50 kg of ballast for optimal weight distribution.
An LMP 675 development is under consideration.
Negotiations are under way with teams that have plans to enter Le Mans.
So are we now looking at Dome, Chrysler, Cadillac, Audi, Panoz, BMWs in private hands (?), privateer Audis, several Courages.......... |
