He has tested the car, but it looked as though he wouldn’t be a candidate for a regular drive. He seems to have replaced Jean-Marc Gounon.<BR> <BR> Mimmo Schiattarella in a Rafanelli Ferrari 550 Maranello – sounds perfect.<BR> <BR> The team had a very productive test at Valencia earlier this week (photo, above). A spokesman reported that 87 laps were completed on Tuesday, with no major problems apart from an electrical glitch, which was resolved.<BR> <BR> Wednesday saw a full tank run, Emanuele Naspetti running over 40 consecutive laps with a best in the low 1:35s. The only problem was some burning of carbon panels by an exhaust pipe.<BR> <BR> Some fast running at the end on new Michelins saw a best lap just over a second outside the Lister’s best, on similar rubber.<BR> <BR> Development work over the two days centred on braking, the team running through different calipers, pads and discs to find the best solution – plus work on the engine electronics and the set-up for full tank running.<BR> <BR> </FONT></TD></TR> </TABLE><BR> </CENTER> <BR><CENTER><font size="1" color="#808080" face="Tahoma">Copyright ©2000-©2023 TotalMotorSport</font></CENTER> </td> </tr> </table> </body>
