An Ultima |

The Hinckley-based team return to the Privilege Insurance British GT Championship this season with a brand new GT category Ultima GTR. The car will be driven by team principal Colin Blower and Ed Sharpe and will be powered by a 6.3-litre V8 Chevrolet engine.
Ted Marlow – the owner of the Ultima marque – has given his full blessing to this effort, which should see the most competitive Ultima to race in the Championship.
“We're trying our very best to be ready for the first race,” said Colin Blower. “Our first aim is to be reliable and then develop the car through the season. I'm sure that it will be a competitive proposition.” Customer versions of the car will be available in due course.
Colin Blower is the only man to enter a GT2 class car that defeated all the GT1s at a Privilege race. Ironically, that win – at Donington Park with the mauve Cerbera in ’97 – saw him driving with Jamie Campbell-Walter. The race win was awarded to the Cerbera despite the fact that it was smouldering at the side of the track. The race was halted, denying a win for Lister Cars.
