Zest Performance have announced that they are to re-enter the Ferrari 360 which they campaigned in the latter part of the 2000 Privilege GT season. The driver pairing will once again be wine mogul Marco Attard and partner Neil Woodford. The car has been shaken down at Silverstone by non other than Ralf Kelleners and will hopefully be closer to the pace and more reliable than last year. Kelleners and Risi’s John McLoughlin were present to take a first look at what can be done to a 360 to turn it into a GTO (GT) contender in the ALMS.
The Ferrari tuning specialists have also - surprisingly - acquired the ex-Balfe Motorsport Lotus Esprit which was again a late (ish) entrant in the 2000 season. One driver is believed to have been finalised, the other seat is under negotiation. Whether the Lotus will receive the development work it needs to campaign the entire season remains to be seen, but there are now two Esprits in GTO, with the Johnsons Motorsport car already confirmed.
