Countdown Developments will not run the second TVR Speed 12 in this year’s championship - instead they are aiming to explore other possibilities in the GT class. The good news is that there will still be two of the Speed 12s campaigning in the 2001 GT class. Both cars will effectively be TVR Race Engineering works entries. They comprise moderately updated and improved versions of last year's single entry and are still on schedule for the first race. The names of the likely drivers for the second car are Tuscan Challenge racers Ashley Ward and Jonathan Rowlands - and they hope to shake down the car on 21 March at a test day, the venue of which remains shrouded in secrecy.
