Colin Blower Ultima |
Work Continues |

Paul Slinger reports that Colin Blower Motorsport currently have a team of mechanics working on the 6.3 litre Chevrolet powered Ultima chassis in order to get it ready for Round 1 of the Privilege GT Championship - just over two weeks away. Despite the no-compromise nature of the original Ultima, the GT modifications are substantial and much important work remains outstanding.
The intention is still to enter the first race, but Colin Blower advises that if they do make it, the pace of the car will not be representative - in all likelihood Saturday qualifiying may see its first run out on any track. The engine - built by Dragster specialist Geoff Bull Engines - is already in the car. This car is expected to be more reliable and quicker than last year's Ultima effort, which ran a Ford Cosworth Turbo unit (and didn't receive support from the Ultima factory).
