It has already been announced here, but an official release from the Interactive Sportscar Championship confirms collaboration with 76 Lubricants and Dunlop for the forthcoming, maiden ISC season. 76 Lubricants has been the official fuel of NASCAR for 45 years, while Dunlop have more wins at Le Mans than any other tyre manufacturer. Dunlop’s Bob Heywood indicated that his company, “are delighted to be invited to join the ISC and we are committed to contributing to what promises to be an exciting championship, dominated by speed.”
Mike Haines Racing were testing Dunlops in Spain last week, in preparation for the first round of the ISC, at Brands Hatch on May 7.
Hospitality at ISC events will be handled by ‘Hospitality Matters’, who have agreed a four year arrangement with the series organisers. The company are already responsible for servicing high profile events such as the Six Nations Rugby, Ascot, World and British Super Bikes and the British Grand Prix. Oliver Doods, MD at Hospitality Matters, explained that his company is able to offer “a five star service to all of our events-all of which are run from the most modern and luxurious solid walled marquee structures”.
Meanwhile, Cabair Helicopters will be filming all 12 ISC races with a revolutionary up-linking data and video feed from the cars, to ensure non-stop coverage from the air, as well as from the ground. The company will also have their Medevac helicopter on stand-by - the UK’s only privately owned, fully equipped and staffed Helicopter Emergency Medevac Service.
“The safety of our drivers, marshals and everyone involved in the ISC events are imperative and we are confident that in the event of an accident Cabair Medevac will act quickly and efficiently,” commented Dominic Chappell, Director of ISC.
