Christian Vann will partner Giovanni Lavaggi in the GLV Brums Ferrari Judd throughout the 2001 FIA Sportscar Championship season.
"To me the biggest thing is just driving a Ferrari," he said. "I’m a massive fan and have been for years. To race the 333SP has been an ambition of mine ever since the car came out in 1994. Even now that it has become reality I still feel quite overwhelmed. I can’t wait to get the overalls on and sport the badge, then I can die happy."
The Briton's first outing in the SRWC / FIA SCC was at Spa last year, when Didier de Radigues nearly led he and Christian Glasel to victory in the rain. That arrangement with Kremer Racing turned sour, and after a disjointed balance of 2000, Vann now looks to have a secure berth for 2001.
Lavaggi is expecting the car to come on strong in the second half of the season, once the Judd installation has been thoroughly tested, plus modifications to the 333 itself, which the team have in hand.
