PK Sport / Ricardo were at Donington Park today, testing their 911 GT3RS in preparation for the ELMS event next month.
Robin Liddell went for a time in both the morning and afternoon, eventually settling for a best of 1:10.1 on the short circuit, almost two seconds quicker than Mike Jordan's pole time last May prior to the Privilege GT race.
The full circuit will be used for the ELMS race.
"Robin went very well," remarked Mike Pickup. "We've got a real talent there. Mike Youles made some good changes to the set up in the morning, and both he and Piers Masarati were under 1:12, without going for a time. Mark Humphrey had the worst of the conditions (a light drizzle) whenever he went out, but I'm more than happy with his speed. Dunlop have made really good progress with the tyres; we can't wait to go racing."
Mike is as interested as a lot of other people to know the likely line up for the first 2001 ELMS race. PK Sport are in the field, of that there is no doubt. |
