JAMES MUNROE |

On their money. He's seen at Druids, chased by...Calum Lockie.
He arrived on the scene in a blaze of publicity - and disappeared three months later. It's taken another year or more for the full power of the law to resolve the issue, but now it seems that Mr Munroe has been put away for five years, having used his employer's funds to go racing. He wasn't the first, logically he won't be the last. Anyone else following this path will hopefully have a little more driving talent.
He created a stir for a few races last year. Perhaps too much of a stir. The UK papers all seemed to have the story of his racing career on September 2, and it seems that a humble web site was his final undoing. While he was supposed to be visting his sick son, he was caught on the web by his employers racing at Brands Hatch ("they checked an internet racing site and found Munroe had raced that very weekend" - The Daily Mail).
Watch out you lot, we're watching you and sending the news all round the world. At least the Editor found out who Caprice was (is). I'd never heard of her until that bizarre launch in London.
Now, what happened at the Drivers Briefing on Sunday, Chris Ellis? |
