The Westward Racing Group LLC Panoz was at Snetterton on Monday for a test on Avon tyres prior to the full debut of the team at Donington Park, while Dick Barbour and all four of his drivers were at Silverstone the same day to test their new Reynard-Judd.
“We went to Snetterton on Monday and managed to get some track time for Jay and Peter," said Westward Motorsports Director, Dave Sims. "It was not a full test mind you, but enough to get familiar with the Avons."
Jay Cochran, added, "the Panoz Roadster responded very well to the Avons, felt glued to the circuit. The competition is formidable to say the least, so we’re looking for every advantage."
Peter Boss was equally positive. "The Avons were an unknown part of the equation and now we know they’re a plus."
The Dick Barbour Reynards will surely be the prettiest cars on the ELMS grid this weekend. The livery the car ran in at Silverstone is a gorgeous mix of silver, pink and blue. A view of these cars from Donington asap.
50 laps were completed at Silverstone on Monday.
