Simon Harrison and Roger Moen got their Production Championship challenge off to an almost perfect start at Brands Hatch on Easter Monday. They finished first and second in the opening (Sprint) race of the season in the team¹s pair of Peugeot 306s.
Jonathan Heynes (team principal):"It has been a fabulous way to start the season. Simon is new to the team this season but has immediately fitted in and brought a lot of knowledge with him. The way that the cars went at Brands Hatch gives us great optimism for the rest of the season."
The two HTML Peugeots dominated the second, Feature, race. Moen led initially before Harrison assumed the lead and opened up an advantage of over five seconds - before sheared wheel studs ended his race with the flag just minutes away. Moen was able to hang on to second place in the Feature Race, but earned enough points to take the championship lead.
"Our drivers are now first and second in the championship," said Jonathan Heynes, "and we are lying third in the teams' championship. We couldn't have asked for a better start to the season and we know that there is more to come. Everyone is really fired up for Thruxton on May 7."
