A welcome addition to the ISC grid comes in the form of a brace of stunning Chevrolet engined Stealth B6s, run by ex PI Ultima pilot Terry Pudwell.
With a brand new car, the Speedworx team are under no illusions that they face an uphill task in early rounds.
“The delay to the start of the series has proved to be a godsend. Our build schedule can now be a little more sensible and will give us a chance for some testing and windtunnel work,” said Pudwell. He will share the lead car with Mark Pashley.
The Warrington-based team are working ever closer with the factory in Southampton which builds the roadgoing version of the B6, but the ISC car differs substantially from the Stealth run successfully by Bob Slight in the Castle Combe Special GT series.
A ‘Longtail’ bodywork package will help increase top speed and also brings the car into line with FIA GT regulations “All the Stealth road cars will now adopt the same package,” Pudwell explained.
Race cars have already been sold to Germany, Austria and Canada (for the Canadian GT series) and the team has long-term plans to mount an assault on the FIA GT series.
Could this be a car to replace the much-mourned Sintura in the affections of UK GT fans?
