A New Car and New Engine (engines) |
For 2001 |

Sportscar racing wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't worrying about next year. No sign of new cars on the horizon, apart from the Chrysler LMP? Think again. Las Vegas could well see a new chassis for 2001 announced, while John Judd is hard at work on a 3.4 litre V8 for the new LMP 675 engine rules.
A properly developed LMP 675 is still thought to be a potential race winner, remember. The ACO have adjusted the rules to make that more likely.
Then there's the story that the 5.5 litre V10 from the new Porsche Carrera GT will find its way into a Prototype next year. Or is it the still born 4 litre? |
