Danny Wright explains the absence of the #11 BW Motorsport GT Porsche at Snetterton:
"We will be doing a full season from now, but we had to miss Snetterton to work on the gearbox linkage, rear wing and engine cover. We need larger air restrictors - at the moment we're being heavily penalised, especially as the car still needs set-up work doing."
The wing now provides useful downforce - the old one was too large and simply caused excessive drag. Neatly fashioned air scoops on the wing supports (GT2-style) have also helped to feed the turbos.
Danny was pleased to get some useful time in the car at Snetterton and also to get closer to team-mate Neil Cunningham's times: "The car is now much better balanced and we genuinely have made a step forward. With many more developments still in the pipeline, Neil and I are confident that we will keep moving forward. I understand it is frustrating for our sponsors, but we will continue to work for better and better results."
Partner Neil Cunningham: "The BRDC have agreed to let us have larger restrictors, but haven't said what size. We're seriously struggling on horsepower. The Lister puts a second on us on each straight."
