The 'Spanish' Lister finished second and first in the two Iberian GT races today: the car led into the first corner of race one, which was as far as Carlos Palau managed in the Saleen. He spun on some oil, hit the wall and caused too much damage for the car to take part in the second race. A miscalculation of the timing of the pit stop, plus a Safety Car period, dropped the Storm to second at the flag. The race was won by Jesus Diez Villaroel and Manuel Rosada in a 911 GT2.
But the Lister won the second race comfortably, so........Lister Storms are leading three Championships – FIA, British & Spanish. Laurence Pearce wasn't there to see the Spanish team win - he's at Oulton Park with the British squad. It's been three wins in a week for Lister Storms in three different Championships. Tim Harvey, you'll have to be on form at Oulton tomorrow to prevent a fourth.
