In The Ultima |

Andrew Delahunty, a rising star in the Tuscan Challenge, gets a one-off chance to try his hand in Colin Blower's Ultima GTR at Croft next weekend. Colin Blower is not available due to a hectic week of events starting at Monza this weekend with his Lola T70, then Rockingham with his Ascar. Edd Sharpe will share the drive, as usual.
Blower coached Andrew Delahunty from a tender age and knows he is a sensible, quick driver. "What we need at this stage is a quick driver who will respect the car and provide some useful feedback. We don't want someone who will race away and then break the car, as that will set the development programme back further.
The Lola will have its engine back in for Monza, as the original unit specified for the Ultima is ready to go back in for Croft, together with completely modified fuel tanks (hopefully to see an end to the fuel pick- p problems which have dogged their efforts so far this season) and new dampers.
The Colin Blower Motorsports Ultima story - both on and off the track - is one of the most fascinating of the season so far. Let's see what fortune Croft brings them.......
