Harald Gallinnis forwards this image of the Lamborghini that last raced in the FIA GT Championship at the Lausitzring last year. Teamchef Hans Reiter (seen with the map) commented on the changes to the car. "We have developed new diffusers, a revised differential, a different engine- mapping and are now running Dunlop tyres. The car has a revised aerodynamics and is lower than in 2000. We still only have some concerns about motor-reliability, but these should be solved before the next race. The second car is at the moment needed for testing, but later in the season we will also race it, if there are drivers available. We also plan to build more cars and sell the second at the end of the year. The whole project was started very late, as the decision for it was not taken until two days before the entry list for the championship closed. But we are making progress now and from the next races on, not this one, championship- oints should be the goal in reach."
The car went through scruteneering at Zolder without problems yesterday, so it should hit the track - with drivers Michael Trunk and Bernhard Müller - today. |
