Misses Zolder |
|
Florian Hebel, TM at Wieth Racing, explains that the team stopped at an airfield at Biberach, on the way to Zolder, to test the durability of their Ferrari 550.
“Unfortunately again the ‘old style gearbox’ could not resist the forces that work on it. The parts of the new one are not ready yet, so we had to make the decision not to take part at the meeting in Zolder.
“As soon as the new gearbox is ready (within the next days), we are going to make some full-length tests on several diffrent racetracks to prove the steadiness of the car and its components. So for Budapest (July 1), we should be able to show a good performance and a car that stands the whole 500 km.”
