Furthermore, they have given the Mitsubishi Carisma in the BTC Production class a break with a 30kg reduction in minimum weight. <BR> <BR> It remains to be seen whether this enables anyone to close the gap on the hitherto dominant Vauxhalls, although the (Tim Harvey) Alfa 147 and the ABG Lexus IS200 showed signs of a threat at Oulton Park.<BR> <BR> In addition, amendments to the success ballast formula were also announced this week. Weight penalties will henceforth only be given to the podium finshers in the BTC Touring class. Previously, penalties were awarded to the first five cars home. Similarly, by finishing fifth or lower, the weight penalty will now be reduced.
