Dick Barbour has named Hideshi Matsuda to replace Eric van de Poele in one of his two LMP675 Reynards. The Japanese joins Didier de Radigues and Sascha Maassen in #36, while the third driver in the John Graham / Milka Duno car (#37) will be known soon.
van de Poele was released by Dick Barbour to race with Bentley in place of James Weaver. Matsuda is a former Japanese GT Champion, and has considerable experience at Indianapolis - but only one race past Indianapolis corner at Le Mans. He finished 13th in 1992 in a Euroracing Lola Judd (above, the car that bears at least a visual similarity to the current Ascari).
