Appeal |
|
Following the Hearing of the International Court of Appeal of the FIA yesterday in Paris, the decision of the Stewards of the Meeting at Zolder last month to exclude Jamie Campbell-Walter / Tom Coronel Lister Storm from the results still stands.
Unfortunately, although the evidence did prove that the Storm hit a wheel belonging to the Larbre Viper team (which had been left in the fast lane of the pit lane), it could not ‘offer sure and absolute proof that the collision’ caused the airbox failure (i.e. actual, indisputable, visual evidence of the damage occurring at the exact time that it occurred). So, ‘regardless of the severity’ of the penalty, and even though Lister Storm Racing ‘acted in good faith’, the car is excluded from the results.
