COMPONENTS 21/05/2002 Hewland to expand in Summer Gearbox specialist announce plans    Hewland Engineering will be upgrading their factories facilities in the summer to help cope the additional demand for their gearboxes and differentials. New manufacturing machinery is being installed in their facility in Maidenhead, Berkshire together with additional computer systems will help to improve quality and customers services. Hewland Engineering’s Managing Director, William Hewland, commented on the expansion, `Hewland Engineering has been enjoying a run of success lately, with many contracts coming our way. However, we had been operating under our output capacity in recent years. Also we are installing £750k of new plant and computers this summer. These factors will ensure that none of our new customers experience undue issues in service shortfall- contrary to some bitter rumours from our competitors`.
