Jordi Gené Takes Third Place For SEAT

The SEAT works team has achieved another podium result in the FIA European Touring Car Championship. Shortly before the end of race 1, Jordi Gené took third place away from BMW driver Andy Priaulx. Frank Diefenbacher in his SEAT Toledo Cupra fought his way up from 14th place on the grid to seventh place. Due to a damaged oil line resulting from a collision, the German was not able to compete in the second race, though. Jordi Gené’s hopes of repeating his good result from race 1 were frustrated by a competitor touching his car right after race start, causing Gené to fall back to 14th place.
