3:07 p.m. – Running – Lap 63 – The #50 BMW stops near the chicane with motor problems. The #00 spins sideways in Turn 1 and continued. The #23 Ascari re-enters the race. #87 Norma has right front body damage.

3:10 p.m. – Running – Lap 64 – The #50 BMW goes behind the wall to repair engine. The crew reports most likely engine blown with fire and oil leak. The #39 Porsche reports the #44 Porsche trying to run him off the track.

3:14 p.m. – Running – Lap 66 – The #77 Viper gets tires and fuel.

3:17 p.m – Running – Lap 69 - Scott Sharp gets in the #36 R&S.

3:18 p.m. – Running – Lap 70 -The #12 Ultima goes behind the wall. The #13 Ferrari enters the pits for fuel only.

3:31 p.m. – Full Course Caution – Lap 75 – Car #37 Lola in pits for fuel only. Tony Stewart in #2 Crawford spins out in Turn 2 and continues.

3:36 p.m. – Full Course Caution -- Lap 77 - Car #74 R&S in the pits for driver change and to work on the bodywork.

3:38 p.m. – Running -- Lap 79 –Car #29 in pits with driver change (Busch in). Car #21 in pits fuel and driver change to Tillman. Car #09 in pits with driver change to Ciasulli.

3:46 p.m. – Lap 82 – Car #74 R&S enters the pits with clogged fuel filter. The #08 Marcos team replaces front fender.

3:56 p.m. – Running – Lap 87 – The #19 Corvette suffers a flat right front tire and stalls on pit lane in front of its pit.
